Specialties: Hongyu graduated from Tsinghua University with B.S. in 2000 and M. S. in 2003, majoring in Civil Engineering. Then he attended University of Nevada, Reno and earned M. S. in Structural Engineering in 2004. After graduation, Hongyu moved to Las Vegas and worked as a project engineer in S2 Specialty Structures. In January 2010 he founded HW Engineering. He oversees, supervises, and evaluates the structural design of his team as well as the projects nationwide. With his extensive international academic background and decades of working experience in designing structures for the structural and construction industry, Hongyu brings HW Engineering a unique depth of knowledge to finding an efficient solution for structural design.
Hongyu has been active in various professional organizations including American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Concrete Institution (ACI) and Structural Engineers Associations of Southern Nevada (SEASoN). He has published more than 6 papers in professional journals including ACI-Structural journal. With his in-depth knowledge on steel, concrete, masonry, wood, aluminum and tensile fabric materials, plus active PE/SE license in many States, he has provided engineering services all over the U.S.
Community: Hongyu is a dedicated advocate in community development and improvement. He provides volunteering structural consulting service for non-profit organizations, offers financial support to the local community, churches, and University of Nevada.

Mr. Prisecaru is a Professional Structural Engineer with experience in USA and abroad, covering a wide range of structures, building types and construction materials. He is highly qualified for designing and evaluating structural systems located in seismic zones. Mr. Prisecaru has performed structural design, calculations and plan review for small and large multi-million dollar projects.

Senior Structural Engineer
Shenlin is specialized in 3D computer structural modeling and FEA analysis. He is well experienced on Steel and Aluminum frame structures of various types. Mr. Lu attended Graduate School of University of Nevada Reno and received his Master's Degree in Civil Engineering in 2007.
Fermin has been in CAD design career for more than 20 yrs. He is in charge of plan set-up and detailing for HW Engineering. Mr. Canlobo has solid CAD skills and experience on various structural plans, structural steel detailing, light gauge steel detailing, concrete, masonry and wood details.
After receiving Bachelor’s Degree from Drexel University, Yanzhao attended University of California, San Diego and received his Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering earlier 2017. As a young talent, he is experienced in both structural engineering and CAD design.
After receiving Bachelor’s Degree from Swansea University in UK, Mr. Chen attended University of California, Irvine and received his Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering. He is specialize in residential construction and structural steel design.

Nicholas has a unique background in steel manufacturing industry and brings his expertise as a Draftsman to HW Engineering. Ultimately pursuing a college degree from College of Southern Nevada, his attention to structural details and dimensions ensures the success of HW Engineering projects.
Yijie is specialized in steel/aluminum engineering design and computer structural modeling for tensile fabric structures. After receiving Bachelor’s Degree from University of Connecticut, he attended Georgia Institute of Technology and received his Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
